Introduction
Women Development Department is the department for strategic administration, development schemes' implementation and formulation of laws related to women empowerment. It is the responsibility of department to cover all the needful grounds regarding women issues, without the discrimination of caste, creed and economic position. In Sindh women are the adversely affected community due to which they are suffering in all fields of development. This department is working on the empowerment of women by providing them social, economic and legal assistance in all fields by running different projects and implementing pro women laws and providing awareness to develop self-esteem and confidence.
Our Services :
- Darul Aman at Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Sukkur and Larkana,
- Safe Houses at almost all District Headquarters,
- Day care centres at Karachi, Mehran University Jamshoro, and Sukkur,
- Offices of Assistant Directors at all District Headquarters,
- Office of Deputy Directors at Divisional level,
- Office of Directors at Sindh level in Karachi,
- Women complaint cells at all district headquarters,
- Providing trainings in traditional trades to women home based workers etc.,
- Helpline 1094 for registering complaints of distressed women.
